Solar Generator For House are devices that can help accomplish the goal of “going green” and can help make others aware of how simple and beneficial it can be to convert to clean forms of energy. In today’s eco-friendly aware society, people are becoming more interested in ways to reduce pollution and to “go green” as much as possible by converting at least a portion of their energy consumption to better forms of clean energy.

Solar generators are a great way to save utility costs and the help save our environment at the same time. A solar generator uses solar panels made up of cells to collect the light from the sun and convert it to electricity. The more solar panels that exist, the more sunlight is collected which creates more electricity. More solar panels can easily be added to existing generators to increase the electricity output.

The electricity that is generated is then stored to be able to use it at later times (even when the sun is not out to generate more electricity). The way that solar generators store this energy is typically by using a bank of batteries. Many solar power hobbyists use deep cycle 12 volt batteries like you would find in golf carts or other vehicles. The electrical power stored in these batteries is normally 12 volts direct current (DC).

However, typical consumer appliances and electronic equipment use 120 volt alternating current (AC). In order to use this clean generated power stored in the batteries, the solar power generator needs to convert the 12V DC to 120V AC. A power inverter or power converter is used to accomplish this conversion. Once converted, typical electronic devices and appliances can be powered by the clean solar energy.

With special equipment, a solar generator can be connected into the existing electrical system of a home, business, or other facility. This can dramatically reduce the electric bill from the local utility company. In fact, if more power is generated by the solar generator than is needed by the entire facility, the excess power can be distributed out to the main power grid for others to use. In this case, the power company may be required to actually pay the customer for the surplus power that is being supplied to the grid.
